Collection: Palo Santo
Palo Santo, meaning “holy wood” in Spanish, has a long and meaningful history rooted in Indigenous cultures of South America, particularly in Peru, Ecuador, and parts of Central America.
For centuries, Palo Santo has been used by Indigenous healers and shamans in spiritual and cleansing rituals. Traditionally, the wood is burned to help clear negative energy, promote emotional balance, and invite peace, protection, and good fortune. Its use often accompanied prayer, meditation, and healing ceremonies.
What makes Palo Santo especially unique is how it’s harvested. The wood is traditionally collected only after a tree has naturally fallen and aged for several years, allowing its aromatic resins to fully develop. This practice reflects a deep respect for nature and the belief that the wood’s spiritual properties are strongest when taken sustainably and with intention.
